Savannah, GA

Stopped in Savannah for a couple days.  Savannah is a great town - filled with historic buildings, shady streets and lots of moss hanging from the trees.  I love the friendly people and I especially love all the "squares" (parks) that are all over the town - I love green space like that.

A very friendly artist doing is craft in one of the parks.

I love all these old buildings.

Colonial Park Cemetery.

A beautiful Catholic Church

This was a great coffee shop called Gallery Espresso.

FANTASTIC piece of lemon cake.

Savannah is so dog-friendly!

Good job!!!!

Above:  Oyster Shell Sidewalk

Below:  The Police Station (love the old cars)

This was a cool police car.  The back said a ride in a cab would cost you $20.  The front of the car was a police car, and a ride in it would cost you $1,800.  Good advertising against getting yourself a DUI!

The River Front Area

I love the cobblestone streets - but, they are not easy to walk on.

One of the many squares in Savannah. There are
usually statues or artwork in the middle of them.

This was a beautiful wedding in one of the little parks.  What better place to get married?  It was really a nice spot.

The musicial was really, really good.  He was singing an Eric Clapton song, Wonderful Tonight.  It was a perfect song for the occasion.
